Tobe Hooper dies at 74
Very sad news on this early Sunday morning, the director of such classics as “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “Poltergeist” passed away at age 74. Causes of death are still unknown. Hooper was born in Austin, Texas on the 25 of January 1943. He achieved notoriety as a director in the Horror genre. Aside of the mentioned titled he directed the TV adaptation of Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot” in 1979, the movie “Funhouse” in 1981. More recently in 2013 he directed “Djinn”.
