Deep Blue Something “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” reaches No.1 in 1996

The 1990’s Rock classic “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” by Deep Blue Something was released in 1995, but only by 1996 it became a worldwide hit. The song became the biggest hit for Deep Blue Something and charted in several countries around the world, on October 5th, 1996 it reached No.1 in the UK, curiously, on the same day that marked the anniversary of the “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” movie. Unlike what we may think, the song was inspired by 1953 movie “Roman Holiday” starring Audrey Hepburn, though the name of the song and chorus points to another Hepburn movie, the 1961 “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”. The song was written by Todd Pipes, and unfortunately would be the band’s only No.1 hit and most famous song, which makes Deep Blue Something listing on every artist’s undesirable list of One Hit Wonders.
