The originally dance music band that successfully brought an unique mix of Techno, Rock and Metal to the mainstream

The Prodigy Top 10 Songs

The Prodigy revolutionized Dance and Techno music. Founded in 1990, the band started as an underground dance music scene act. With core members Keith Flint, Liam Howlett Maxim Reality and dancer Leeroy Thornhill, Prodigy took dance music to a new level starting in 1992 with their debut album “Experience”, but their unique fusion style would be more noticeable on their second album “Music For The Jilted Generation” released in 1994. For the first time in music history there was a Dance music band that pleased Ravers, Metalheads, Rockers and Pop fans. The original mix of styles featured in the Prodigy’s music came to rule the charts in 1997 with their breakthrough best selling album “Fat Of The Land”, that included smash hits “Firestarter” and “Breathe”. The Prodigy music became sometimes heavier during the 2000’s and 2010’s, and even less appealing to wider audiences as it was back in the 90’s,  but the band remained one of the most influential over the last 25 years. Now, after their most popular member, charismatic vocalist and dancer Keith Flint’s untimely death at age 49, it is uncertain if they will continue their path, but regardless if don’t, they already left a gigantic footprint on music history. Here’s 10 of the very best Prodigy songs.
