The “Beverly Hills 90210″ cast: Where are they now?
“Beverly Hills, 90210” premiered on October 4th 1990, and quickly became a worldwide hit. Created by Darren Star and produced by Aaron Spelling, the successful TV show that followed the lives of a group of friends living in the upscale and star-studded community of Beverly Hills, California as they transition from high school to college and into the adult world, became one of the 1990’s best known shows, and introduced several future movie and tv stars such as Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Luke Perry and Tori Spelling among many others. Although it aired until May 17, 2000, the series most popular period remains the earliest, that took place in the first half of the 90’s. The teen drama dealt with drug abuse, learning disabilities, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, sex and other relevant issues of the day and sparked off also successful spin-offs like “Melrose Place” (1992-1999), “Models Inc.” (1994-1995) and “90210” (2008-2013).Today, the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210 have come a long way from West Beverly Hills High School. Take a look at what the stars of the 90’s show are up to these days.
Green played David Silver, initially an outsider who worked hard to become a part of the high school crew. His tumultuous relationship with Donna was a main storyline throughout the series. Green’s latest project is a direct-to-streaming action film with Danny Trejo, but most of his excitement comes from his family. Green, 44 is married to actress Megan Fox, 31, whom he has three sons with.
Gabrielle was 29 when playing 16-year-old character Andrea, which is pretty damn impressive. She left in 1995 to host her own short-lived talk show "Gabrielle" but returned sporadically for the rest of its run. Carteris, wrote a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter last year in which she called for ages to be removed from casting sites like IMDb. “This problem exists for all performers, but most distinctly for women,” she wrote. She has been married to stockbroker Charles Isaacs since 1992, and they have two children.
Ziering was the Corvette-driving, happy-go-lucky rich kid Steve Sanders, Brandon's best friend. Today if he's not chain-sawing through storms of sea creatures alongside Tara Reid in the "Sharknado" franchise (look out for the fifth installment later this year, subtitled Global Swarming), Ziering, 53, is a proud Chippendales dancer. Married to Playboy model Nikki Schieler from 1997 to 2002, Ziering remarried in 2010, tying the knot with Erin Ludwig, with whom he has two young daughters.
Priestley played Brandon Walsh and was the anchor of the "90210" cast, both on screen and behind the scenes. The role made him a teen idol of the '90s and earned him two Golden Globe nominations. Priestley 47, has dabbled in directing in his last few projects, which includes the Canadian crime procedural "Private Eyes". The father of two has been married to wife Naomi Lowde since 2005 and has survived two scary incidents in recent years, being thrown from a horse on the set of "The Code" in 2015 and crashing head-on into a wall during a 2002 car race at the Kentucky Speedway.
Life was rough for Garth's character Kelly Taylor, who was raped, went to rehab, had a miscarriage and shot a man, over the course of 10 seasons -- not to mention her turmoil trying to choose between Dylan and Brandon. Garth, now 45, has done a lot of TV work, including the sitcom What I Like About You co-starring Amanda Bynes, which ended in 2006. She also reprised her role as a more responsible Kelly in the CW sequel series 90210, which ran from 2008 to 2013. In 2015, she married Dave Abrams, after splitting from ex Peter Facinelli, with whom she has three daughters, in 2012.
Luke became a teen idol thanks to playing bad boy Dylan McKay, and soon landed himself film roles including the first version of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Community", "Family Guy", "Oz", and "The Fifth Element". In 2003, he divorced his wife of 10 years, Rachel Sharp, with whom he has two children. Since 2017, he has starred in popular teen drama "Riverdale" as Fred Andrews. UPDATE - Luke Perry passed away in 2019 at age 53
Doherty played good-girl-gone-bad Brenda, Brandon's twin sister. She was written off the show in its fourth season when Brenda moves to London to pursue acting. Aside from 90210, Doherty has landed iconic roles on "Charmed" and in 1988’s "Heathers" - which she is set to star in a remake of, currently in development. She has been very open about her journey with breast cancer since her diagnosis in March of 2015, Doherty, 46, announced she was in remission in April. “Moments. They happen. Today was and is a moment,” she said in an Instagram post celebrating the news. Twice divorced, she's been married to producer Kurt Iswarienko since 2011.
After appearing as Donna Martin for all ten seasons of the show (which her father produced), Tori went on to star in the sitcom So Notorious as a parody of herself, returned as Donna in 90210, and reunited with Jennie Garth in "Mystery Girls". She has also been a reality TV star, appearing in the "Tori & Dean" series with her husband Dean McDermott. They married less than a month after her divorce from Charlie Shanian in 2006. She and Dean welcomed their fifth child (son Beau Dean) in March.
