Slash turns 58: The 10 Best Guns N’ Roses music videos
Slash was born Saul Hudson in Hampstead, London, England, July 23, 1965. He rose to stardom in the 1980’s as the guitarist of Guns N’ Roses when the band scored their first success with the 1987 album “Appetite For Destruction”. By the 1990’s, Guns N’Roses were one of the biggest bands in the world, having released the legendary two volume album “Use Your Illusion”. But despite sold out stadiums worldwide and absolute Rock music hits that became classics, turmoil within the band dictated their downfall and in 1996 Slash left Guns N’Roses. In 1993 Slash formed his side project Slash’s Snakepit but it was The Velvet Revolver that became his most famous band aside of Guns N’Roses. With three former member of Guns N’Roses in the line up and with Stone Temple Pilots’ Scott Weiland on vocals, Velvet Revolver broke into the Rock music scene of the 2000’s as one of it’s most popular bands. The band eventually broke up shortly before the death of Scott Weiland and in 2016, after years of turmoil between Slash and Axl Rose, it was announced the Guns N’Roses would reunite with most of their original members in the line up, including Slash. Currently, the band has returned to sell out stadiums and venues worldwide with their “Not in this lifetime” tour. Plans for a new record have been also announced. Here’s the Top 10 Guns N’ Roses music videos to celebrate Slash’s 58th birthday.
