Former Teen star actor Edward Furlong turns 46

Edward Furlong was born in Glendale, California on August 2, 1977, from Mexican and Russian descendance. His acting debut was at age 14 as John Connor in the blockbuster “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”, that earned him instant worldwide popularity. During those early years he also appeared in “Pet Sematary Two”, “Brainscan” and then as a yound adult on one of his most acclaimed roles in the 1998 controversial movie “American History X” alongside Edward Norton and in the 1999 retro movie “Detroit Rock City” where he plays a hardcore KISS fan in the 1970’s.
In 1993 he appeared on Aerosmith’s music video “Livin’ On The Edge”, that also contributed for his popularity.
But despite his huge popularity in the 1990’s as an actor, Furlong’s career and stardom declined considerably after 2000, with most of the movies he starred being released straight to DVD. In 2003 he had a significant role in “The Crow” movie series “The Crow: Wicked Prayer”, alongside David Boreanaz and Tara Reid, which was planned for a theatrical release, but upon release was widely panned by critics and audiences and after one week in limited theaters, it was released to DVD in 2005. In 2004 he appeared again in a Rock music video Metallica’s “The Unnamed Feeling”. Much of his career decline reportedly has to do with his problems with substance abuse and other legal problems. Currently, Furlong is trying to get back the spot he once held as one of Hollywood’s most popular actors, and returned to his role of John Connor in the 2019 movie “Terminator: Dark Fate”. Today he turns 46.
