Renowned R&B/Soul and Disco sensation George McCrae is about to be heard again on radio and seen on TV with a new song, a duet called “Step Into My Heart”, sung with and also written by Lynda Law. 2024 will mark the 50th anniversary of his smash hit “Rock Your Baby” and George is still going strong with this new song release on July 7, 2023
ABOUT GEORGE McCRAE
There are few singers in soul music with a unique signature sound. His style of singing “straight from the heart, rich in emotion and knee-deep” makes George McCrae one of those artists. His vocal range is still as impressive as it was when he started his singing career. After a filled career including “Rock Your Baby”, a number 1 hit in more than 40 countries, several golden records, a Grammy nomination as best male R&B singer in 1975 and having performed with legends such as Michael Jackson & the Jackson 5, James Brown, KC & The Sunshine Band, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic, George McCrae is now back again with a new great classic and fresh sounding “Step Into My Heart”, written by his duet partner Lynda Law.

ABOUT LYNDA LAW
Lynda Law is British, now living in Belgium, Europe. She has been in music since she was only 7 years old. Her strong determination and willpower led to a record deal in 1990 with the Perfecto label (subsidary of RCA label) led by Paul Oakenfold. The year before Lynda recorded 3 songs with Gino Vannelli in his Blue Moon recording studio in Los Angeles for his album “Inconsolable Man”. She sang female lead vocal for “Moment To Moment” with Gino. On her return to The U.K. Lynda started touring with famous performers like Edwin Starr, Jimmy James, The Drifters, Jimmy Ruffin, George McCrae and many more. This reunion with George was like meeting an old friend that you never forgot.
ABOUT STEP INTO MY HEART
Lynda Law started writing this song one day with George McCrae in mind as her duet partner. She knew from the past that George liked soulful music with a nice beat to it. When she presented the rough demo to him it didn’t take George long to agree on recording the song together.
