Bonnie Tyler has been one of the world’s most successful singers, her husky vocals are unquestionably recognizable by almost anyone, but, aside of all the hits she scored during her career, her signature song and the one most people still associated her with is the 1983 “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”. The song remains a favorite among Pop Culture references over the years, among the many reasons for it, is the famous music video made in 1983 which features Bonnie Tyler clad in white, dreaming or fantasizing about her students in a boys’ boarding school. On October 2nd the song reached No.1 on the US Hot 100, making history for Tyler who had her first and only U.S No.1 and also for Welsh artists as she became the first and only Welsh artist to ever reach No.1 in the United States charts.”Total Eclipse Of The Heart” was written and produced by Jim Steinman, and released on Tyler’s fifth studio album, “Faster Than the Speed of Night” (1983).
