“Don’t Stop’ Til You Get Enough”, a prelude of what was to come in Michael Jackson’s career

“Don’t Stop’ Til You Get Enough” that was included on his album “Off The Wall”,  it’s a milestone on Michael Jackson’s career at many diverse levels. The song reached No.1 on the U.S Hot 100 on October 13th, 1979, is the first composition ever that Jackson had total creative control, it also establishes him as a young adult solo artist, breaking somehow the chains from Jackson 5. Although featuring a disco and funk sound, “Don’t Stop’ Til You Get Enough” introduced some of what would become Jackson’s trademarks in the subsequent decade, such as the hiccups and falsettos as well as his improved dance moves. It was a worldwide smash hit earning Michael his first Grammy as a solo artist. But it was also the new music video technology debut of Jackson, that as we all know, became a pioneer on that field during the 1980’s. In a way, “Don’t Stop’ Til You Get Enough” it’s the prelude for what was to come, it can be fairly considered as Michael Jackson’s first greatest solo hit.
