Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called To Say I Love You” goes No.1 on Hot 100 in 1984

After reaching No.1 in the U.K, Stevie Wonder climbs to No. 1 on the U.S Hot 100 with “I Just Called To Say I Love You” on October 13th, 1984. Taken from the film “The Woman In Red”, the song was a worldwide hit that year and became one of Stevie Wonder’s signature song remaining on the top of the charts in several countries during weeks in a row back in 1984. “I Just Called To Say I Love You” received 3 Grammy nominations in 1985, won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for best song. It remain the No.1 song on the Hot 100 for three weeks.
