10 Of The Best Horror Movies of the 1980s & 1990s
The 1980’s was a golden age for Horror movies, after a 1970’s decade that produced some of the best Horror classics, the 1980’s had to follow with some new fresh stories, characters and plots. In between slashers, remakes and supernatural entities, the result was very favorable at the end of the decade and set the ground for the subsequent decade. The 1990’s were a turning point on the Horror genre, the increasing use of the new technology contrasted between the simple slasher plots and the over complicated ones and sequels, overall it produced some good Horror movies that can be seen as predecessors to the 21st century modern Horror. The task of compiling so many good movies in a Top 10 it’s not easy, and though is not always about box-office receipts and critical acclaim, we’ve created a list with what we consider to be some of the best horror movies of the 1980’s and 1990’s based on both critical acclaim and box-office receipts.
