A Brief Overlook on Warren Zevon’s life and career
Known for his dry wit and acerbic lyrics, the singer and songwriter Warren Zevon was born 74 years ago today in Chicago, Illinois, January 24, 1947. He started his professional music career touring regularly with the Everly Brothers as keyboard player, band leader, and musical coordinator. During the late 1970’s and 1980’s he became one of the main influences of a new Indie artists generation including R.E.M. Among the songs featured in his 15 solo albums, are the 1978 hit “Werewolves of London”, “Lawyers, Guns and Money”, “Carmelita” and one of his last songs “Keep Me In Your Heart”, released shortly before he passed in 2003 at age 56.
