A Brief Overlook on Elijah Wood’s career

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on January 28, 1981, the actor Elijah Wood skyrocketed to international success thanks to his memorable role as Frodo Baggins in “The Lord of the Rings” film trilogy. Some people may not be aware though that his screen debut happened in another blockbuster as a child actor in the 1989 “Back to the Future Part II” where he played a small role.During the first half of the 1990’s, as a child actor, Wood appeared in films such as “Avalon” 1990, “Paradise” 1991, “The Adventures of Huck Finn” and “The Good Son” (alongside the most successful child actor of the decade, Macaulay Culkin) both from 1993. As a teenager two of his best known roles were in “Deep Impact” and “The Faculty”, both released in 1998. In 2001, as Frodo Baggins in “The Lord of the Rings” film trilogy he solidified his adult acting career. A worldwide box office success, the concluding chapter of the Rings trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” grossed in excess of $1.1 billion. Since then Elijah Wood have taken different and diverse roles that has allowed him to grow as an actor, such as the remake of the 1980’s cult classic “Maniac” in 2012, “Grand Piano” 2013, “The Last Witch Hunter” 2015, “The Trust” 2016, and “I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore” 2017. Today the actor turns 43.
