In 2007 an unreleased Jim Morrison song is used by Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party to publicize the dangers of Global Warming
A solo Jim Morrison song called “Woman In The Window” was recorded by the Perry Farrell project “Satellite Party” in 2007 and used to publicize the Global Cool campaign. The original track by Morrison, that features The Doors singer singing a Capella, was recorded during his spoken word sessions between 1969 and 1970 that years later gave origin to the “An American Prayer” album. In 2007, was initially formed as a collaboration between Farrell and Extreme member Nuno Bettencourt, used the late singer’s vocals and included it on their debut album, “Ultra Payloaded” that was released on May 29, 2007. The song was premiered on January 31st, 2007 by Perry Farrell on a radio show. Satellite Party was a short lived band and Nuno Bettencourt was the first member to depart from the project in July 2007.
