On October 1970, a Portuguese magazine publishes an article on Jimi Hendrix’s death and how his girlfriend is about to give birth to his child…
In October 1970, a few days after Jimi Hendrix’s death, the Portuguese magazine Antena published an article about his early demise and how despite the tragedy his son “Jimi Hendrix Jr.” was about to be born from no more no less than Mick Jagger’s girlfriend at the time, American singer Marsha Hunt who was actually about to give birth to Jagger’s first child Karis. The article is curious as a reflection of the times back then in comparison to today, as from a rumor without a certified source (fake news), an actual serious article was made and published, and it proves that regardless of the years and technology, somethings never change. The article refers it got the information from London, U.K, would be interesting to see how the rumor started. In form of epitaph, the article quotes Jimi Hendrix: “When I die, I want people to play my music, go wild and freak out and do anything they want to do”. Check the original article bellow that also wrongly states Hendrix was 24 at the time of his death.
