Born Alfredo James Pacino on April 25, 1940 in New York City, Al Pacino it’s one of the most influential actors of all time and an absolute movie legend. But Pacino’s career wasn’t built only in the big screen. Over the years the actor has also been awarded by his stage acting as well as on TV. Pacino rose to fame during the 1970’s when he appeared in the 1972 acclaimed movie “The Godfather” where he portrayed Michael Corleone. During that decade he played several memorable roles that continued until the 1980’s and towards today. Throughout his career he was awarded an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, a British Academy Film Award, four Golden Globe Awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Film Institute, the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award and the National Medal of Arts, all this makes him one of few performers to have won a competitive Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony Award for acting, dubbed the “Triple Crown of Acting”.
