Top 12 Krist Novoselic’s Nirvana Songs
Nirvana revolutionized Alternative Rock during the early 90’s, bringing it into the mainstream, and defining it. One of the leading bands of the Seattle Grunge movement, Nirvana pair now with the most influential Rock bands ever such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin. Krist Novoselic, born in Compton, California on May 16, 1965, formed Nirvana with teenage friend Kurt Cobain in Aberdeen, Washington. Nirvana’s sometimes sloppy signature sound, with loud distorted guitars and pounding drums, contrasted with their pop sensitive melodies. While Cobain is now mostly remembered as the engineer of Nirvana’s sound, Novoselic’s bass guitar also played an important in Nirvana’s songs, giving it a solid and distinct beat that completes Kurt Cobain’s guitar and melodies or thunderous distortion. After the untimely death of Kurt Cobain in 1994, as Nirvana dissolved, Novoselic formed and participated in several short lived different bands, including Sweet’ 75, Eyes Adrift and his most recent adventures Giants in the Trees and 3rd Secret. Today Novoselic turns 59 and we count the Top 12 Krist Novoselic Nirvana Songs, where his bass, plays an important and distinct role.
