The former Milli Vanilli Fabrice Morvan celebrates 58 today

Born on May 14, 1966, in Paris, France, Fabrice Morvan embarked on a journey that would take him from the heights of pop stardom to the depths of a scandal that rocked the music industry.
Morvan’s career began in the vibrant music scene of Paris as a dancer and singer. His charisma and talent caught the attention of music producers, leading him to join forces with fellow vocalist Rob Pilatus to form the duo Milli Vanilli in the late 1980s.
Milli Vanilli skyrocketed to fame with their catchy tunes and slick dance moves, becoming pop sensations almost overnight. Their debut album, “Girl You Know It’s True,” spawned several chart-topping hits, including the titular track and “Blame It on the Rain,” cementing their status as international superstars.
However, the duo’s meteoric rise came crashing down in 1990 when it was revealed that they had not actually sung on their records. The scandal surrounding Milli Vanilli’s lip-syncing shattered their credibility and tarnished their reputation. Amidst public outrage and legal battles, Morvan and Pilatus were stripped of their Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and the group disbanded.
Despite the turmoil, Morvan refused to let the scandal define him. He embarked on a solo career, determined to prove himself as a legitimate artist. Morvan’s resilience and passion for music saw him through the darkest days of his career, and he continued to pursue his artistic vision with unwavering determination.
In recent years, Morvan has focused on his solo endeavors releasing and performing new original music, but still remaining in the shadow of the Milli Vanilli scandal.
