Actress Brooke Shields was born on May 31, 1965, in New York City, to Terri and Frank Shields. It’s hard to believe it’s been 40 years since she first made a name for herself in Hollywood. However, Shields has been in the public eye since she was 11 months when she appeared in an Ivory Snow advertisement. In 1978, Shields made her film debut in “Pretty Baby” and followed it up with roles in “The Blue Lagoon” (1980) and “Endless Love” (1981). Meanwhile, Shields caused a sensation with her advertisements for Calvin Klein jeans, in which she claimed that nothing came between her and her Calvins. Shields landed the lead on two NBC sitcoms “Suddenly Susan” (1996 – 2000) for which she received two Golden Globe nominations and “Lipstick Jungle” (2008-2009). In April 2001, Shields married ex-Suddenly Susan writer Chris Henchy. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Rowan, in May 2003 and their second daughter Grier, in April 2006. Shields Later had postpartum depression and wrote a book detailing her experience. In 2017, Shields returned to NBC with a major recurring role in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” in the shows 19th season. From 2014 to 2019, Shields voiced Beverly Goodman in the Adult Swim animated series “Mr. Pickles”. Her latest movie release was “Mother of the Bride” on Netflix in 2024.
