Famous actor and director, Clint Eastwood was born on May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, California. Eastwood achieved early success with his appearance in the television series “Rawhide” from 1959 to 1965. Eastwood’s big-screen breakthrough came as The Man with No Name in Sergio Leone’s trilogy of excellent spaghetti westerns. He scored further success as an actor and director with a series of acclaimed films. It was during the 1970’s that a large cult following around Eastwood started when he starred as the iconic San Francisco detective “Dirty” Harry Callahan on a series of successful films. Eastwood played Harry Callahan in four films, being the last during the late 1980’s. During his legendary career, Eastwood has received four Oscars as producer and director of the movies “Unforgiven” and “Million Dollar Baby” and the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1994. According to Box Office Mojo, a box office-revenue tracking website, films that Eastwood has acted in or directed have grossed over $3.5 billion.
