Marilyn Manson’s former Bass player Twiggy Ramirez turns 53 today
Twiggy Ramirez was born Jeordie Osbourne White on June 20, 1971 in Coral Springs, Florida. He first met Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson) during the late 1980’s, and by the early 1990’s he started to collaborate musically with him. In 1993 he joined Manson’s band Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids and was given the name Twiggy Ramirez, which was derived by taking the first name from English supermodel Twiggy and the surname from American serial killer Richard Ramirez. Twiggy was largely responsible for most of the songwriting on Marilyn Manson’s hit albums “Antichrist Superstar”, “Mechanical Animals” and “Holy Wood”. He departed from Marilyn Manson during the early 2000’s and returned in 2008 where he stayed up until 2017 when he was fired following allegations of domestic violence. Twiggy will remain one of Rock’s most iconic figures of the 1990’s, with his unique look at the time, which he’s still largely associated with despite having dropping it for several years now. Today he turns 53.
