He has scored an impressive string of Rock hits over the years, making him one of the most influential Rock drummers in the scene. Joseph Michael Kramer was born on June 21, 1950 in The Bronx, New York City. Kramer is one of the founding members of Aerosmith, and aside of being the drummer that originally played so many popular Rock beats in songs such as “Walk This Way” or “Sweet Emotion”, he is also credited as naming the band Aerosmith. Joey Kramer also wrote and co-wrote several songs for Aerosmith, and scored a string of Rock hits with Aerosmith since the 1970’s including “Dream On”, “Walk This Way”, “Sweet Emotion”, “Janie Got A Gun”, “Amazing”, “Dude Looks Like A Lady”, “Livin’ On The Edge” and “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” among many others. Aside of his successful career as a musician, Kramer also owns side businesses in the food industry, his whole bean, organic coffee line Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee and also owns a restaurant chain of the same name. Joey Kramer was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 as a member of Aerosmith. Today he turns 74.
