Liv Tyler was born Liv Rundgren on July 1, 1977, in New York City, New York. She is the daughter of model and singer Bebe Buell and Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, although she initially believed her father to be Todd Rundgren. She discovered her true parentage at age eight. Growing up surrounded by rock legends and models, Tyler was exposed to the entertainment industry from a young age. She later moved to Portland, Maine, and attended the prestigious York Preparatory School in New York City.
