Edward Norton is one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, having been nominated for an Academy Award three times. Norton was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 18, 1969, becoming a popular face in the big screen immediately after starring on his acclaimed film debut “Primal Fear” in 1996 which earned him a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and an Academy Award nomination in the same category. In 1998 Norton earned another Academy Award nomination for his role in the controversial movie “American History X” where he played the role of a reformed neo-Nazi. One of his most memorable roles is the one he played alongside Brad Pitt in the now cult movie “Fight Club” in 1999. Throughout the 2000’s and 2010’s, Norton’s acting career has been going as successful as always been since his 1996 debut. Among some of the movies he has starred over the last two decades are “Red Dragon” in 2002, “The Incredible Hulk” in 2008, “The Bourne Legacy” in 2012 and the 2014 black comedy “Birdman” that earned Norton another Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He has also invested in the movie industry; in 2003 he established his own production company Class 5 Films. An environmental activist and social entrepreneur, Edward Norton is a trustee of non-profit organization and the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity. During the late 1990’s he had a much-talked relationship with Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love and marriage even got to be on the table at the time. Now turning 55, some of the latest feature films of this famous and talented movie star were among others the 2019 “Motherless Brooklyn” 2021 “The French Dispatch” and 2023 “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.”
