David Bowie and Mick Jagger “Dancing in the Street” hits No. 1 in 1985

On September 7th, 1985, one of the 80’s most memorable songs and moments, the David Bowie and Mick Jagger duet of Motown’s Martha and the Vandellas 60’s hit “Dancing in the Street” goes No. 1 in the U.K charts. Viewed by some as a fantastic disaster, the two Rock icons got together for the Live Aid concert in 1985, however, they were not able to perform together on stage, instead a video for the song was made to be broadcast. The typical 80’s fashion looks and the complicity among both rockers turned the video worldwide popular at the time generating an endless number of parodies and it’s regarded as one of the 80’s most iconic moment.
