Kylie Minogue’s “Better the Devil You Know” gives Stock, Aitken and Waterman team their 100th chart entry
On September 19th, 1990, Kylie Minogue’s “Better the Devil You Know” enters the U.K charts and becomes the production and songwriting team Stock Aitken Waterman 100th U.K chart entry. Stock Aitken Waterman also were the only producers and songwriters of Minogue’s two albums after her debut, the song established Kylie Minogue as a more mature Pop Star mainly in Europe and Australia but failed to break into the U.S market. Among Stock Aitken Waterman hits are “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” Dead or Alive, “Never Gonna Give You Up” Rick Astley, “I Should Be So Lucky” Kylie Minogue, “You Think You’re a Man” Divine and “Venus” Bananarama. Kylie Minogue went on to become one of the best-selling Pop singers in the 1990’s and 2000’s reaching finally the American market.
