The Original Kids from Stephen King’s 1990 “IT”

Where Are They Now?

The Original Kids from Stephen King’s 1990 “IT”

Released in 1990 and based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, ‘IT’ was a TV miniseries event. The story follows a group of outcast kids and self-proclaimed losers who fight an evil demon posing as a child-killing clown. Pennywise the Clown was a nightmare inducing clown that I’m sure kept many of us up at night. Here’s what “The Losers’ Club” or “The Lucky Seven” cast, are doing these days.

By Ken Warren, 2017/18

Adam Faraizl
The child actor played young Eddie Kaspbrak. He previously appeared on 'Lonesome Dove,' and in 1990 the same year as 'IT' he had a small role in 'RoboCop 2' and was in ' Where the Red Fern Grows'. Faraizl left the business and graduated with a degree in Pacific & Asian Studies from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. He is now the beverage director for Kenichi restaurant in Austin and is recognized across the state of Texas for his expertise in sake.

Ben Heller
Played young Stanley Uris. Maybe the horror of seeing Tim Curry dressed as a sharp-toothed clown was too much for Heller because Stephen King's 'IT' appears to have been his only acting job ever. There's not much out there about what he's doing these days.
Brandon Crane
Brandon Crane (Ben), appeared in The Wonder Years and guest-starred on Step by Step before turning his attention to regional theater, but these days he works as a web-developer. Crane calls himself “a washed-up actor, father, and tech nerd.”
Emily Perkins
Emily Perkins played Beverly Marsh, the sole female member of The Losers Club. After ‘IT’ the young star landed a recurring role on the TV series "Mom P.I." After the show ended in 1991, she would go on to starred in the 'Ginger Snaps' movies and had a small role in 'Juno' as the receptionist at the women's clinic. In 2009, she guest starred on 'Supernatural' as Becky Rosen and reprised the role in a 2011 episode.
Jonathan Brandis
The child actor played young Bill Denbrough. He was considered the leader of the pack and after the murder Bill's little brother, Georgie, Bill becomes obsessed with tracking down and destroying the evil clown. Brandis had starred in 'Stepfather II' and 'The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter,' and guest starred on the shows 'Full House', 'Who's the Boss?' and the TV show 'SeaQuest DSV'. After the show was canceled in 1996, Brandis found himself in the middle of a career downswing. He'd hoped to make a comeback with the 2002 drama Hart’s War. Unfortunately, his scenes were cut, and friends believe it was the tipping point that caused Brandis to commit suicide in 2003.
Seth Green
Seth Green played the young Richie Tozier, whose constant teasing earned him the nickname "Trashmouth". In 'IT,' Richie is terrified of the Wolfman, but Green would go on to play Oz the werewolf in the television series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' The actor has appeared in the films 'Can't Hardly Wait,' 'Party Monster' and the 'Austin Powers' series. Green also provides the voice of Chris Griffin on 'Family Guy,' is the co-creator of the Adult Swim series 'Robot Chicken'.
Marlon Taylor
He played young Mike Hanlon. After the miniseries, this young actor seems to have completely fallen off the radar. There is no information about him after his starring roll in Stephen King's 'IT'.
