The 1980’s Pop star Robbie Nevil turns 66



Robbie Nevil was born on Robert S. Nevil October 2nd, 1958, in Los Angeles, California, the singer-songwriter came to prominence during the 1980’s, especially because of his worldwide hit “C’est La Vie” released in 1986 that peaked to #2 on the Hot 100. He had other minor hits following “C’est La Vie” but is still often regarded as One Hit Wonder. Maybe something that many people don’t know is that Nevil has been keeping a very active and busy career in music, but not as a singer. Prior to becoming famous for his 1986 hit, Nevil already had written and produced music for names such as Pointer Sisters Alison Moyet, and Earth, Wind & Fire. During the 1990’s and 2000’s he wrote for Babyface, Jessica Simpson and Destiny’s Child among others. Since 2011 Nevil has working on several successful Disney projects such as The Cheetah Girls, High School Musical, and Hannah Montana. Nevil turns 66 today.
