The iconic American television and radio host Larry King was born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger on November 19, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He grew up in a working-class Jewish family and lost his father at the age of nine, which deeply affected his upbringing.
King began his broadcasting career in the 1950s in Miami, Florida, starting as a radio DJ before transitioning to hosting talk shows. His big break came in 1985 when he launched Larry King Live on CNN. The show became a staple of television journalism, running for 25 years until 2010. Known for his suspenders, straightforward approach, and ability to connect with guests, King interviewed a wide array of figures, from world leaders and celebrities to ordinary individuals with extraordinary stories.

Larry King passed away on January 23, 2021, at the age of 87, in Los Angeles, California, due to complications from COVID-19.
