Jon Bon Jovi was born John Francis Bongiovi Jr. on March 2, 1962, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Throughout his teenage years, Jon Bon Jovi played in several different bands. In 1980, he made a demo tape with studio musicians, and after several radio stations in New York City and other areas began playing one of the demo songs, “Runaway,” he gained a positive reputation in the music world. In 1995 the band released “These Days” which was also a best-seller but was followed by the less successful albums “Crush” in 2000, “Bounce” in 2002, “Have a Nice Day” in 2006, “Lost Highway” in 2007, “The Circle” in 2009, “What About Now” in 2013, “Burning Bridges” in 2015, “This House is Not for Sale” in 2020 and their latest album “Forever” in 2024. In 1990 Jon Bon Jovi released his first solo album “Blaze of Glory” that produced the worldwide hit “Blaze of Glory” featured in the soundtrack of the movie “Young Guns II.”
Jon Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, in 1989. The couple has four children together. Bon Jovi is also known for his philanthropic efforts, including founding the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which focuses on issues such as hunger and homelessness.
