The American martial artist, actor, film producer, and screenwriter Chuck Norris, widely known for his action roles in movies and television, was born Carlos Ray Norris on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, is an Norris began studying martial arts during his service in the United States Air Force and eventually became a professional martial arts competitor, holding titles in karate and establishing his own martial arts style, Chun Kuk Do.
His film career took off in the 1970s and 1980s with notable roles in action films such as Way of the Dragon (1972), alongside Bruce Lee, The Delta Force (1986), and the Missing in Action film series (1984–1988). Norris became a cultural icon for his tough-guy persona and martial arts prowess.
In the 1990s, Norris achieved television success as the star of the popular series Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired from 1993 to 2001. The show further solidified his image as a symbol of rugged justice and integrity.
