Spencer Bonaventure Tracy was born on April 5, 1900, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He discovered his passion for acting while attending Ripon College and later honed his craft at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Tracy began his career on the stage, performing in various stock companies and on Broadway.
In 1930, Tracy made his film debut in “Up the River,” directed by John Ford. He gained prominence with notable performances in films such as “Fury” (1936) and “San Francisco” (1936). Tracy achieved a significant milestone by winning consecutive Academy Awards for Best Actor for his roles in “Captains Courageous” (1937) and “Boys Town” (1938).

Spencer Tracy passed away on June 10, 1967, in Beverly Hills, California, at the age of 67. His legacy endures as one of Hollywood’s most respected and talented actors ever.
